Just a few weeks ago we had our second year of the Bloom Conference (check out last year here). Looking back, I am still in awe at how everything flowed together so well. All I can do is praise God for working all of the details together. So many women volunteered their time to help with Bloom. It really would not have happened and gone so well without these ladies. It was a great reminder to me of the importance of doing life with others and including others in on the journey. When we do this, others are able to use their gifting along side you.
First of all, I want to say a huge thanks to Larissa Lord for the incredible photos. She did such a beautiful job of capturing the night. If you are looking for a photographer in the Charleston area, I cannot recommend her enough!
Our speakers this year were Whitney Meade and Annette Wethington. It was such a joy to have each of them share encouragement for moms. I know we all left with full hearts.
For the breakout sessions we had Sarah Ann Rogers, Karen Isbell, Whitney Meade, and then the option of moms grabbing a DIY craft and/or shopping the market.
I just love how the DIY station turned out.
Jackie Richard shared her artistic gifts with us in drawing these beautiful prints. We stained and cut craft sticks and then attached them to the prints, adding a piece of twine to create the art hanging. The moms could use watercolor pencils to color these or just take them home.
We loved being able to have a Mini Market for the moms to shop during the event.
One of our passions is being able to support and encourage local shops, small shops, and mom run shops. This year we had these shops on site:
Francis and Benedict
Magdalene House
Clothed in Victory
Younique Makeup
Modern Day Esthers
The Busy Bee Life
Magnolia Laundry Co.
Be Little Swings
MBI Woodworking
The Food
All of the food came together so well! Thank you to Hickory Bluff Farm for the delicious strawberries. Local mamas, make sure you are heading out to this farm for berry picking! The desserts were made by myself and my friend Jessyca and her daughter. I just love how they all turned out!

Once again shops went above and beyond in showering the mamas with some love.

At the end of the night, Carly, led us in worship while the moms wrote notes to their selves that will be mailed later from Clothed in Victory. They also had the opportunity to write a prayer on the back of a card from The Hope Deck and then string up. This was such a great idea for the moms.
One of the best decisions I made with planning for 2018 Bloom was to invite two creative friends on to help with the decor plan. The day of we had plenty of help with set up and over the course of the evening. I cannot recommend enough the need to invite others in when you are putting on an event, or in whatever you are doing. It is amazing how when we each use our own gifts, we are able to unite and create something beautiful.
Thank you to each of the moms who attended Bloom 2018!
We cannot wait for Bloom 2019! We have big plans. If you are a business and would like to be involved in Bloom 2019, send us an email.
Thank you to our sponsor, Better Way Counseling & Coaching for helping make this event possible!
Make sure to follow along on Instagram and Facebook as we will continue to share highlights from the event plus regular encouragement!
